Love Is Freakishly Odd
I adore when I hear or read a line that makes me want to whip out my notebook and write it down, or reach for the highlighter and drag
Authors, screenwriters, lyricists – wow, some of them are really, really good. Some of the best lines come from my favorite books, movies, and songs. These are lines that cause me pause, and it’s not always because I agree with them, although I might. These lines make me think about something in my life or the world around me. These lines become a train of thought that if I sat down in that moment to write, I could have a blog. What I typically do instead is write down the line (from the movie, book, or song), revisit it later, and then ask myself, “Why the hell did I write this down?” I struggle to rack my brain to come up with whatever “aha” moment I had way back whenever I said, “Let me write this down. I’ll absolutely remember why.” No you won’t, idiot. Your memory is horrendous. So I said NO MORE! Time to put my thoughts down. And that’s what this blog category is all about. They Said It First. Not me. So if you don’t like it, take it up with them. (But not really, because the thoughts thereafter the line are mine.)

It was an ordinary life I wished for, and that is what I have
